The Coffee Processing Chain can be divided into three parts: Green Coffee, Roasting and Preparation. Each of these, influence the overall quality of the coffee and how it will taste in the cup. Roasting is vital to the taste and aroma of coffee because the potentials of the coffee are only unlocked during roasting. This requires knowledge and skill to enable the roast master to properly operate the roaster and maximize the full potential of his or her coffee.
