The NEPTUNE 500 is designed for roasting coffee with a an hourly output of about 480 kg and a batch size of 120 kg with roasting times between 8 and 20 minutes. Smaller batches of between 80 and 120 kg can also be roasted. Roasting time, hourly output and sensory properties of the coffee can vary.
The further development of the time-tested G 120 roasting plant comes in a compact design with a contemporary self-supporting construction, integrated water fittings, electric installation and tableaux for electric and pneumatic parts. The roasting drum – the plant’s heart – is built into a casing that is insulated from the outside. The roasting air created by the burner is channelled into the roasting drum via wire mesh and a bypass enables the roasting air to partly circulate around the roasting drum.
- The water needed for precooling at the end of the roasting process is directly applied to the roasted product via a water lance built into the drum cover.
- A compact blower burner unit with an integrated firing manager ensures optimal burning. A large part of the firing equipment as well as electronic components are combined in a housing.
- The NEPTUNE 500 side of operation is on the left. It is available in the AP version (automatic/pneumatic), and alternatively in the HP version (manual/pneumatic).
- Various systems of exhaust air cleaning are available – depending on regulatory requirements – such as smoke incineration, thermal precleaner or catalyst.
