TVR/NVK THERMAL PRE-CLEANER WITH CATALYZER

The TVR/NVK is an exhaust air cleaning solution for further minimizing atmospheric emissions of roasting processes to a great extent. Pollutant emissions generated during the roasting process, such as product-specific odors are eliminated, thus making the system the preferred choice for roasteries operating in catchment areas with a particularly strict environmental legislation. 

The catalytic afterburning takes place after the thermal pre-cleaning. At first, the roasting exhaust air is heated to temperatures of approx. 450 °C utilizing an additional burner and subsequently led through a catalyzer. The temperature increase and the catalytic reaction bring about a considerable reduction of emissions.

When using a low-temperature catalyzer, the temperature increase can be reduced to 320 °C. The limit value for the total carbon content of the exhaust as per “TA Luft” is still met. The high overall cleaning performance is nevertheless still given despite the lower pre-cleaning temperature. Energy requirements and NOx emissions (depending on the degree of roasting) are also reduced, making the TVR/NVK/LN the solution for even more environmentally friendly roasting processes.
