UCOM Universal Compact Grinding System
Grinding of dry crystal sugar
Built to solve. Designed to deliver.
Designed to efficiently grind dry crystal sugar (beet or cane) into fine powdered sugar, the Bauermeister UCOM Universal COMpact Grinding System offers a compact, energy-efficient solution that reduces both plant footprint and operational costs compared to conventional grinding systems. With a broad range of particle size distributions and throughputs, it is also suitable for grinding other dry, brittle products such as salt.
At the core of the UCOM system is the UM Universal Mill, which operates independently of auxiliary equipment such as explosion valves, fans and external filters. The process begins with the feed product being metered into the mill via a rotary valve. The ground product is then discharged through a 10-bar, pressure-proof hopper using a second rotary valve. The air stream generated by the mill is recirculated via a pipe to minimize dust emissions.
The UCOM is available in three versions (Basic, Eco and Flex) with up to five size options each, offering flexibility and low CAPEX and energy consumption. This makes it an ideal solution for efficient grinding in various industries.
