The Duyvis TFC Thin Film Evaporator Compound is designed for efficient thin film treatment of chocolate and compound. Using a combination of shear and thermal degassing, the TFC effectively removes moisture, volatiles and acids – improving product texture and eliminating unwanted off-flavors. Designed for seamless integration into a continuous QCHOC production line, the TFC operates as a stand-alone unit positioned downstream of the BMV Batch MIxer Vertical and two or three BMC Ball Mill Chocolate.

The product enters the TFC reactor from the top and spreads evenly along the reactor wall, forming a uniformly thin film. This film is continuously sheared by a rotating element and maintained at a uniform thickness as it moves downwards towards the outlet. The large surface area allows intensive treatment within a short residence time, while the precisely controlled surface heating facilitates efficient removal of volatiles from the chocolate or compound mass.
