Accurate weighing of green and roasted coffee is essential for achieving consistent taste and cost of the coffee blend. The Smart Dosing system enables the coarse gap in the modulating dosing slide gate to be adjusted continuously, allowing for faster weighing of smaller quantities of coffee.

A position sensor on the slide gate cylinder reliably moves the dosing unit to the exact target position. As soon as the preset amount of coffee has been reached, the system control seamlessly switches to fine gap mode.

The system automatically calculates the optimum target value based on stored data. It also adapts flexibly thanks to self-learning algorithms, for example in the event of fluctuations in coffee density. By analyzing previous dosing cycles and continuously optimizing the control parameters, the system significantly reduces weighing times, increasing efficiency and ensuring consistent high quality.
