OUR CORPORATE CARBON FOOTPRINT

Together with ClimatePartner, we have calculated our Corporate Carbon Footprint (CCF), the CO2 footprint of our company. The calculation considers all the emmissions we cause as a company. This includes, for example, emission emission sources such as electricity and heating, but also office supplies or business travel. Upstream or downstream CO2 emissions from our products, for example from raw material processing, transport, use, and disposal, are not included.

Avoidance and reduction

The detailed analysis of our CCF, which we have been conducting since 2020, clearly identifies the potential for further CO2 reductions, for example in the areas of energy and mobility. The CCF is collected and updated regularly to allow comparisons with previous years or other companies. It is important to continuously monitor our success to achieve our goal of reducing emissions to Net Zero by 2030. The following graphic shows the development at the Emmerich site:

2020
3859 t CO2
2021
3446 t CO2
2022
3313 t CO2
* PROBAT Group 6816 t CO2
2030

OUR ENVIRONMENTAL TECHNOLOGIES FOR THE COFFEE INDUSTRY

At PROBAT, we strive every day to develop sustainable technologies for coffee processing that help reduce emissions from roasting processes. A broad portfolio of environmental technologies is already making a significant contribution to continuously reducing external effects in the coffee processing industry – an important multiplier effect. For more transparency in the value chain, PROBAT has developed an industry-specific CO2 calculator that allows the analysis of the emissions of a coffee processing plant depending on different parameters.
