Emmerich, Germany, September 25, 2025: PROBAT is pleased to announce the appointment of Ersoy Karakoc as a new member of its Advisory Board. Karakoc succeeds Dr. Michael Brockhausen, who is stepping down from his active role for the time being. Alongside fellow Advisory Board members Nils Erichsen and Dr. Stephan Feldhaus, Karakoc will offer strategic guidance to the management team of the world market and technology leader and one-stop shop for the food processing sector.
At its most recent shareholders’ meeting, PROBAT appointed Ersoy Karakoc, a trained banker and business administration graduate, to its Advisory Board. His extensive expertise in transformation management will be invaluable in supporting the ongoing strategic development of the group of companies. In his new role, he will particularly focus on driving digital change management and global IT solutions to further enhance PROBAT’s long-term competitiveness.
Dr. Michael Brockhausen has resigned from the Board at his own request. Over the past five years, he has played a key role in shaping the work of the Advisory Board through his strong industry expertise and valuable market insights.
“We are pleased to welcome Ersoy Karakoc, whose strong background and skills will be a valuable asset in the strategic development of PROBAT,” says Nils Erichsen, chairman of PROBAT’s Advisory Board. “We are confident that he will play a key role in supporting the group’s continued growth and innovation on its path to becoming the first address for all customers in the food sector, beyond coffee. At the same time, we would like to thank Dr. Michael Brockhausen sincerely for his dedicated service and contributions over the past few years.”
Karakoc expresses his enthusiasm about his new responsibilities in supporting PROBAT as it pursues its strategic goals: “I look forward to becoming acquainted with PROBAT and gaining a deeper understanding of the company’s key drivers and core strengths. By combining these with my experience in strategy and digital transformation, I hope to contribute to well-founded conclusions that will enable the Group to capitalize on growth opportunities within the food sector.”
Karakoc’s appointment highlights PROBAT’s commitment to strengthening its Advisory Board with distinguished industry experts in a balanced way. The Board represents the interests of the shareholders and serves as a key advisor to the company’s management. Major strategic decisions are subject to the approval of the Advisory Board.
