In the current time, an important question that we want to discuss in this HEAT session: Where and how can energy saving potentials be defined in a coffee roasting plant? We take a holistic view of the energy balance in a roasting plant and show how an energy management system could be developed. Taking this approach, we try to answer the question: If we start from scratch when planning a coffee plant, what should the setup look like to achieve the best possible result in terms of energy efficiencies?
