HIGH-PERFORMANCE CYCLONE

Coffee roasting produces pollutants, mainly in the form of hydrocarbons. However, smoke, odors and fine-grained particles such as coffee chaff or dust are also components that must be separated from the process exhaust air to reduce environmentally harmful emissions. PROBAT high-performance cyclones are an energy-efficient solution for optimized particle separation, reduced dust deposits and improved cleaning results. They are used for the removal of coffee chaffs and cleaning of roasting, cooling and de-stoner exhaust air. The maximum emission limit of 20 mg/m³ of dust in the exhaust air prescribed by the German Technical Instructions on Air Quality Control (TA Luft) is complied with or undercut, regardless of the size of the cyclone.

Optionally, an additional filter unit with a separate fan can be installed in the cyclone's exhaust air line.

The PROBAT high-performance cyclone consists of a conical hollow body tapering towards the bottom. In the upper area, the air to be cleaned is introduced tangentially and at high speed. Due to the shape of the cyclone, the exhaust air is directed downward in a spiral on a circular path. The resulting centrifugal force causes coarser particles to accumulate on the wall and be guided downward into the cone tip. Smaller particles are directed axially upwards and can be discharged separately here.
